Islamic Information Center Ready to Open

All praise is to Allah SWT without His help nothing can happen.  He has His own plans.  Islamic Information is pleased to announce that we have the Certificate of Occupancy for the new site located at 1610 E. Russell Road, Las Vegas, NV 89119.  As some of you will recall the last Khutbah delivered at the old location (5383 S. Maryland Parkway, Las Vegas, NV was delivered on October 20, 2006 / Ramadan 28, 1427 AH.  It was a very sad day for us to lose a place for Friday prayers and lose the weekend school for the children and other activities at the Center.  The main reasons for stopping the Friday prayers and the weekend children school was lack of adequate parking.

Insha Allah, we will have our first Friday prayers at the new location starting February 5, 2010 / 21 Safar 1431 and we will have more than adequate parking 103 spaces as compared to 7.

May Allah give reward to all who participated in various capacities, with time, financial, moral and other support.  So many people helped us to reach to this day that it is difficult to mention all the names.  Some of these people don't even want their names mentioned.

We are inviting people to come forward to help us make programs for the Center.  As mentioned Friday Khutbah will be started at the new location (1610 E. Russell Road) this coming Friday February 5, 2010 / Safar 21, 1431 insha Allah.  Weekend school will be starting in a couple of weeks.  We will be starting some classes for the new Muslim brothers Islam 101 and will continue the current programs already in place.

We will try our best to present Islam to Non-Muslims. And we will try to develop programs for youth.  We are now actively looking for a Resident Scholar who can relate to the young Muslims.  Please come forward and give us your suggestions, comments and help us make this a great Center for all., insha Allah.  Please don't hesitate to let us now, if you have any questions.
